[nysbirds-l] Extralimital: NH Redwing

Shane Blodgett and I did the midnight run to Hollis, New Hampshire and were able to see the Redwing initially found by Chris McPherson on 3/13. Although conditions were "less than ideal" both bird and birders shook off the rain and managed lengthy views from 8:53am till 9:56am. As Marshall Iliff

Thanks Steve for your post. Opinions differ on what these birds are. There doesn't seem to be any agreement. What is needed is a DNA sample. BTW I placed a question mark (in parentheses) next to the identification of the photos I sent to Ardith. Somehow this got translated as a hyphen when
