Hi Everyone,
Jack Delehanty called to let me know that the Rosss Gull was back in front
of his house for ½ hour mid-morning. It also continues to occasionally
bathe in the water near the culvert under the road just down the hill past
his house.
Today, I ran into someone that used to work
Apparently the eyepiece to my Leica scope came loose and fell off
without me noticing it. I believe this happened on 01/28 after I
observed the Ross's Gull in Tupper Lake. The eyepiece is a Leica
20x-60x zoom lens. If anyone found it please let me know.

Tufted Duck was sleeping with a large (900+) mixed scaup flock on Swan Lake in
Patchogue around 12:00PM. Also present were a pair of Wood Duck. This flock was
by far the largest flock of scaup we have seen on any fresh

lines, to heartily recommend Larkin's Deli in Tupper Lake. It looks like an
unprepossessing gas station/general store, but they have incredible food
(breakfast sandwiches and such) and make everything from scratch (a
