When working on the NYS eBird Hotspots wiki I'll compare the previous bar
chart list of species with the current one picking up any additions or
deletions. By going to each county's 'Overview' page you can determine the
date the species was added by county. Some are from newly submitted
checklists
I am currently with Sean Sime and we are looking at a Hudsonian Godwit in
mostly basic plumage at the north end of the East Pond at Jamaica Bay
Wildlife Refuge. It is with the Black-bellied Plover flock on the spit
adjacent to the island on the west side of the pond (just north of the
cove).

Two shorebird spots in northern Niagara County continue to attract good
numbers of shorebirds lately. Highlights this morning were a continuing
adult LONG-BILLED DOWITCHER on Ellicott Road and a continuing juvenile
BAIRD'S SANDPIPER on Lower Lake Rd X Burgess Rd. Both locations are eBird
hotspots.
*NY County Highlights** (Summer)*:
Bald Eagle (1 juvenile), Killdeer (2), Least Sandpiper (25+) & Semipalmated
Sandpiper (15+).
Main focus was shorebirds. Watched the mudflats from near low tide at
12:45p to near high tide (~3.5 feet) at 4:30p when the last of the
Semipalmated Sandpipers flew off
