On a frozen Hook Pond and surrounding snowing conditions.
Highlights: 2 Tundra Swans, 1 Common Yellowthroat Warbler, 1 Yellow-rumped
Warbler and 1 SHORT-EARED OWL.
Other species include: 26 American Black Ducks, 10 Snow Geese, 80 Canada Geese,
2 Great Blue Herons, 5 Green-winged Teals, 5 Hooded
4 female plumage type King Eiders in with Common Eiders and other sea ducks.

In Crocheron Park, I watched in vain for the Chat from 10:55 to noon. The
Western Tanager appeared at 11:35 in the sweet gums east of the pond, having
flown in from the south along the highway. At 11:55, it flew to the south side
of the pond.

It's that time of year again when we load up the sleigh (er, I mean boat)
to chase after Dovekies and other alcids in New York. This trip is your
best bet to find numbers of Dovekies and there are plenty of other target
