Hi all,
This morning at Setauket Woods (about three miles east of Stony Brook
University), I watched a raven harass an immature GOLDEN EAGLE soaring in
beautiful sunshine for a few minutes. This appears to be the first GOEA in
Suffolk County in a couple of years, at least on eBird.
At least 4 ORA
Brown Pelican previously reported here in Montauk, currently being see with
Gulls along the western jetty of Montauk Inlet(N end of Lake Montauk)

Hi all,
Just a little while ago I had a probable western meadowlark at Crab Meadow
Beach in Northport, Suffolk Co. I made some recordings of its vocalizations
which seemed (along with its plumage) consistent with Western and at odds with
Eastern.
The bird was initially spotted atop Juniper a
One, presumably lingering from last week, circled around Gravesend Bay around
8am this morning. Flew over to Coney Island Beach and could be hanging around
the Lower Bay.
