No sign of the Fork-tailed Flycatcher at the Ashoken Reservoir as of 2:30pm.  Seems to have last been seen around 9:30am or so.  I was there from 10:30am to about 2:30pm with nothing.  Did have several Common Loons, a Common Merganser, Cooper's Hawk, Red-shouldered Hawk, Merlin, several

This comes from the official Canada website that Bonaparte's Gull has "large increases" and they come to this conclusion with CBC data!  Based on your accounts they are completely wrong, but I thought it was a credible site since it was from the Canadian Government. My bad.  see

I dont think this is correct. the "increase" in Maine is up from a few hundred birds in the entire state to a couple of thousand (on all counts), and that was only in one year. Similarly, most of the "increase" in North Carolina is due to a single data point. Counts of many tens of thousands

The previously reported (yesterday) White Pelican, was seen this AM, 8:30, swimming mid creek, about 3/4 mile from parking area, on eastern trail. At trail intersection, take left and view from top of hill, overlooking frags. Seen previously by other birders, in other spots along the creek,
