After keeping an appointment at the VA Hospital in E.Northport, and
impressed by all the bird calls/songs I heard getting back to my car in the
parking lot - I made a command decision to stop at Sunken Meadow SP on my
way east. Since I haven't been birding for a while, today's haul put a

Follow up and additional info on the Black-throated Gray Warbler:
This bird was found by Jack Carlson around 11:20 this morning, in the JFK
Sanctuary at Tobay Beach. Jack saw the bird well, including the yellow spot
before the eye. He quickly went back for his camera but then could not
relocate

A Burrowing Owl was photographed in Brooklyn this morning, at the Lowe’s in
Kings Plaza on Avenue U at Flatbush in Brooklyn. The photo shows the bird
resting on a black metal fence alongside some shrink-wrapped containers.
