Central Park, Manhattan, N.Y. City -
Friday, April 21st -

>From first-light to mid-morning, lots of birds have arrived overnight.
>However one bird also lingered, the female-type PAINTED BUNTING at Central
>Park, which was still in and around the Loch in the park’s northern realm.
>Also in the area, including north of the Loch, have been 2 Evening Grosbeaks,
>one a very bright male. There are many many more birds as well, including a
>diversity of warblers, some poss.-probably freshly-arrived as well as some
>reinforcements of a number of species.

Note that, as on 4/18/’23, the Painted Bunting in female plumage is not at all
easy to spot, much of the time, and can be up high in leafy trees, as well as
on the deck. There *may* well be more than only 2 individual Evening Grosbeaks,
and the latter species might be sought in any wooded area, of any locations in
the county.

Good luck and good birding all-around,
