A roseate spoonbill was found last night by Michael Redstone and has just
been refound.
Anyone chasing this bird should park at the hewlett high school and walk
over to the pond. There is no street parking.

There was a report on Facebook of a sighting yesterday that a Whimbrel was
found in the salt marsh, North of dune rd and west of the ponquogue Bridge
Saturday afternoon at about 4PM (2/12/22). There was cell phone footage

To many birders’ great delight, another Roseate Spoonbill appeared in Cold
Spring Harbor on Long Island today. This presents a wonderful opportunity

marina in Theodore Roosevelt park. Take 106 to Bay avenue, continue into

Saw my first of season buffleheads today in Mill Neck Creek, in Bayville.
Also two great blue herons and lots of mallards.
