There is a Pomarine Jaeger being seen east of the eastern tern colony at
Nickerson Beach. The bird appears to be in good overall shape (although I am
certainly no expect on Jaegers).

I spent my lunch hour searching for the Greater White-Fronted Goose to no
avail. Most of the pond is frozen and the geese and mallards are mostly close
to the “dock.” While it was not found, it is possible that it is still among
the Canadas (and cackling?) and just overlooked. Good luck to thos
Pink footed goose still here. Middle of flock of Canadas on pond. Being viewed
from the north side of the lake, in the center by the green electrical box. The
goose’s head is tucked but it is not hard to find with a little scanning.

I have a reliable report from a friend that there were four to five Wilsons
warblers at Pond Park today around 3:23. I searched unsuccessfully for them at
4:00. However, it is worth another look later today or tomorrow.

The Red-Necked Grebe continues at Restoration Pond along with most of the other
now usual species (Redhead, Ruddy, Ring-Necked, etc.). Also of note was a flock
of Rusty Blackbirds. They were in a tree by the recently dedicated F. Trump

It was a good day in Great Neck Estates Pond Park this morning. Lots and lots
of the usuals - white throated sparrows and juncos. Also in good numbers were
swamp sparrows and song sparrows as well as ruby crowned kinglets and
yellow-rumped warblers. I also had good numbers of hermit thrush
Will be in Buffalo for the holidays and would like to finish my 2013 NY list
strong. Would appreciate good birding spot recommendations. Is Tifft (sp?) good
now for water fowl or is the water frozen over?
