Joe Giunta and I (Sy Schiff) birded the beaches. Today was Sparrow day,
hundreds if not thousands. They covered the lawns everywhere. Starting at
Robert Moses SP field #5. we walked along the road to the Hawk watch platform
scattering the sparrows. Almost all were White-throated Sparrows with
