An otherwise slow day at the Fire Island hawk watch (only 20 raptors from 7:30-2:00) was brightened when a BLACK VULTURE soared westward in the early afternoon. I refound the vulture later (~3:15) in the parking lot of Oak Beach town park. Farther west down Oak Beach Rd., I scoped the inlet
