Yes, last night's strong migration took place on Tuesday into today (as several folks mentioned :-)

Among the numerous migrants in the woods along Hook Mt.'s extensive ridgetop were my first Blackpoll Warbler sighting of this fall; 17 additional warbler species including Blue-winged, Tennessee, Nashville, Wilson's, etc. are indicative of the good general movement - these were not concentrated in any singly large flocks but scattered through a mile or more of 2 trails. Red-eyed Vireos were also quite numerous. 3 Ruby-throated Hummingbirds were seen headed southwest from the summit, & even a small flock of 6 "peep" shorebirds went over. Scarlet Tanager & Rose-breasted Grosbeak were also among the migrants moving. A pair of ravens were much in evidence, as seen & heard from the summit as is often found there (year-round).
