The Mew Gull could not be located in the vicinity of Bensonhurst Park along the belt in Brooklyn today (1/29/10) despite an exhaustive search of all Ring-billed Gulls in the area. Numbers of gulls are apparently way down from earlier in the season, as I would estimate there were no more than 150 individuals total.
