Robert DeCandido, PhD, m.ob. on a bird walk starting from Turtle Pond from 6pm 
to around 7:45pm

Despite the light drizzle the group found some nice birds. 

Gadwall - male Turtle Pond, flew north
Great Egret - Turtle Pond
Black-crowned Night-Heron - Turtle Pond
Spotted Sandpiper - Turtle Pond
Red-bellied Woodpecker - pair at Oven
Downy Woodpecker - pair at feeders
Yellow-bellied Sapsucker - male Shakespeare Garden
Blue-headed Vireo - 2 at the Point, 1 Upper Lobe
Black-capped Chickadee - pair top of the Point fed peanuts by hand
Blue-gray Gnatcatcher - 3 Holly near Gill Overlook
Ruby-crowned Kinglet - 5
Veery - Turtle Pond
Wood thrush - 2 total (singing) one of them just up the hill from the Boathouse
Gray Catbird - a few
Ovenbird -  3 total - 1 Holly near Gill Overlook, otherse elsewhere
Northern Waterthrush - 2 (Upper Lobe & Oven)
Black-and-white Warbler - Holly near Gill Overlook
Northern Parula - 2 Holly near Gill Overlook
Palm Warlber - 3 Holly near Gill Overlook
Yellow-rumped Warbler - a few
Eastern Towhee - 5 (all singing)
Lincoln's Sparrow - the group's FOS Upper Lobe
Swamp Sparrow - 2 along the Gill


Raccoon family at Upper Lobe.

Tom Socci reported a Black-throated Green Warbler, 2 Indigo Buntings, and a 
Rose-breasted Grosbeak.
