For those of you (especially anyone traveling from afar) thinking of trying
for the Common Ground-Dove, you might want to hold off for another update.

I received intel that the bird could have been a fatality. The result of a
hungry Merlin strafing a feeding flock if birds that included the COGD. The
Merlin did score a kill but at this time no one is sure who was the victim.

In any case the COGD has gone missing. Merlins gotta eat but let's hope the
Common Ground-Dove remains alive and well.
