Well it sure was a good day to be a birder! Went to photograph the Black-headed Gull at Orchard Beach this early pm and got a 100 or so great shots of it in the lot. When I got home at about 12:30pm I saw a Corn Crake was spotted on the Island so of course dropped everything and zoomed down there. Even though there was traffic at the bridge I managed to get down there before the rain and had great looks at it for about 10 minutes! How exciting!! Never thought I'd see this bird in the US.
