This afternoon I spotted a *Rough-legged Hawk* circling over the Peconic
River just *west* of the traffic circle in Riverhead.  On Dune Road,
*Two Great-Blue
Herons* were wading in the marshes, a *Wilson's Snipe *was seen feeding
directly East of Dolphin Ln., *Two Northern Harriers* flew over the frozen
marsh and* two Peregrine Falcons* were briefly scene on the north side of
Triton Ln.  Also, Dune Rd. is accessible even by sedan, but it is extremely
icy so proceed with caution.  Photos of most of the birds can be seen here:
