I received a phone call this morning from Larry about a first cycle Ross's Gull in Tupper Lake. Apparently someone who knows Larry had sent him a couple images from yesterday as well as a short video - thinking it was a Bonaparte's or maybe a Little. Larry looked at it and thought it was a Ross's, calling a couple of us to check it out. Unfortunately I'm in school so I can't get over there until later, but in looking over the images Larry sent, it is indeed a First Cycle Ross's Gull! I've also forwarded the images on to others who agree. In addition, I just got off the phone with Joan who is looking at the bird right now. The directions I have are a bit sketchy as Larry and I had very little time on the phone, but it is about a mile up Lake Simond Road -I believe it may be off Gaze Road, but I'll have to double check that and once I talk with Joan further I might have better directions. Whoo-hoo! Exciting! Good Birding!
