Now that the ponds in Green-Wood Cemetery are thawed (for the time being,
anyway) it has attracted a few nice species of waterfowl. Among the usual
suspects today were also Wood Duck, a pair of Redheads and Ring-necked Duck.

Brooklyn's Green-Wood Cemetery was slightly quieter this morning compared to
last week's tour. I tallied 13 species of warbler, with overall abundance lower
that over the previous few days - although the early fog and drizzle could have
been a factor. Still haven't seen much in the way of flycat
Hour and half in Green-Wood today. Grackles, parakeets, and mockingbirds making
lots of noise, but otherwise pretty quiet. Robins everywhere. Only one phoebe.
Saw my first golden-crowned kinglet and first mourning cloak butterfly of the
year. So it must be true about spring being here.
