I thought of sharing a few of my observations on the YELLOW-THROATED WARBLER that was seen yesterday at Hempstead Lake LI.
Initially, I thought this bird had white lores, but was missing the white chin for *albilora* + the bill appeared too big for that race. After obtaining closer views, I was able to detect yellow in the lores, which would indicate *Dendroica dominica dominica??* I hope to look at my photos later today for further analysis. I also heard the bird sing very softly a few times. Hopefully, it stuck around for others to get today. "Blistering Barnacles!
