The photos were taken yesterday, it's probably still there. The flock
sticks around the NE corner of the island.

This looks to be quite an interesting goose and from all accounts a hybrid
looks like a good bet. Cackling is an interesting choice for part of the
parentage but it would be hard to rule out Canada X Brant. In any case a cool
looking bird!

A hybrid goose has spent the winter with the brant flock on Randall's
Island, first noted (by me, at least) in January the same day the barnacle
