A nearly 3 hour hike through the DEC Edgewood Preserve this afternoon
(~2:00-5:00) produced 31 species (link to eBird list below), highlighted
by a late BLACK-THROATED GREEN WARBLER, 3 Purple Finches, 2 Pine Siskins,
2 Blue-headed Vireos, 2 Hermit Thrushes, 1 Ruby-crowned Kinglet, 1 Catbird
and 1 Yellow-bellied Sapsucker. The majority of the birds were on the
eastern side of the preserve near the Pilgrim State Hospital grounds
and north of its power plant.
