Thanks to Jacob for getting the word out quickly.  The bird seemed to be settling in for the evening by the small garden directly adjacent to the 81st St. museum entrance at about 4:00pm. Three photos are posted at: http://www.flickr.com/photos/scullybirds/ I am sure others have better photos.
