Tons of gulls on the river today - 12 species were reported. Also two
HARLEQUIN DUCKS at the usual spot above the barge. A possible PACIFIC LOON
was reported at the mouth of the river by experienced observers, viewed from
Niagara-on-the-Lake but only seen relatively briefly.

There were lots of birders on the river today. There were also a lot of
gulls, with 11 species and three hybrids reported. But finding the uncommon
and rare species proved difficult. I will list the highlights of the day

Rochester Birding Association annual Niagara River field trip. Around 30
