[nysbirds-l] Owls and birds of the Hudson highlands

A thorough hike through black rock forest yielded a great 3 saw whet owls all showing evidence of having been present for well over a week. I make this judgement based on the amount of pellets and wash under the birds. Also present was a high flying golden eagle, barred owl and red tailed hawk.
