Island. Upon his return in the early 1950's, Cleaves once again set up houses
but this time put them on Johnston Terrace where

The "colony" seems to have grown exponentially overnight. I saw 3 birds (none
adult M) this morning in my ten minute coffee stop. A friend I saw there
believes he may have had a fourth, an adult male, a bit earlier and will check
his photos. Two martins appeared to be going in and out of

A surprising sunset sighting at Turtle Cove in Pelham Bay Park- Purple Martins.
A male and female Purple Martin were feeding in the cove.
