Highlights of reports received February 5 through February 11 from the Niagara Frontier Region. Very few ROUGH-LEGGED HAWKS reported this winter - one February 8, in Chautauqua County, near the Dart Airport on East Lake Road near Mayville. Also in Chautauqua County - a wintering RED-HEADED WDPKR. at Point Gratiot Park in Dunkirk, and at the Silver Creek boat launch, two CACKLING GEESE among the winter resident waterfowl. Falcons in Buffalo - PEREGRINE FALCON at the UB South Campus nest site - the McKay Tower along Winspear Avenue, and a MERLIN at Main and Woodbridge Avenue. Recent feeder reports - in the Cattaraugus County Town of Ashford, PURPLE FINCH and 4 PINE SISKINS. And in Amherst, at a Williamsville feeder, a RED-BR. NUTHATCH for the past two weeks.
