at Heckscher Park, Huntington, NY (not the same Heckscher Park as on the south

I arrived in Cold Spring around 8:15 and found the Tufted Duck in the
company of the 17 Ring-necked Ducks and the Redhead on the pond behind

Adult male Tufted Duck reported yesterday continues at same location
(Halesite, across from West Marine); viewed this morning @ 0730 by Anthony
Collerton, Corey Finger and myself about 200' north of the viewing area
described in earler post in vicinity of floating docks.

Yesterday, Jan. 6, We were invited to a 1 PM dinner at our best friend's home
in Huntington Station, Suffolk Co. With the blessing of my wife, Ruth Ann, I
dropped her off at 12:10 PM, after "swearing" I would return by the afore
mentioned 1 PM ( 5 other guests were expected, and my wife did not
Eric Miller, Glenn Mullen, Brendan Fogarty along with his Mom and I observed
the Tufted Duck until around 4:30 PM in Cold Spring Harbor. The duck, was seen
near the spot where it was originally found. Please see previous posts for
directions.
