The contest table has been updated to include 3 links under each of the county names.
The first link is to the Top 100 eBirders for that county. The link itself will display the # of observers that have submitted a checklist for that county for 2011. The highest # of observers is currently Suffolk County with 57 observers. Putnam County currently holds the fewest at 3. The 2nd link displays a list of species seen in that county with links to maps for each species showing current observations with yellow icons. Sightings older than 30 days are shown with red icons. The "Map" is the default tab. Other tabs include graphs for "Totals", "High Counts" and "Birds Per Hour" plus more. The 3rd link show a list of "First Arrivals" by date in descending order. The list will display the latest species reported for that county at the top of the list. http://novahunter.blogspot.com/2010/12/nyc-area-ebird-thon-2011.html Under the Kingbird Regions a link to the bar charts has been added. Access to the Top 100 & First Arrivals is not available when choosing multiple counties. -- Ben Cacace Manhattan, NYC http://novahunter.blogspot.com -- NYSbirds-L List Info: http://www.NortheastBirding.com/NYSbirdsWELCOME http://www.NortheastBirding.com/NYSbirdsRULES ARCHIVES: 1) http://www.mail-archive.com/nysbirds-l@cornell.edu/maillist.html 2) http://birdingonthe.net/mailinglists/NYSB.html 3) http://www.surfbirds.com/birdingmail/Group/NYSBirds-L Please submit your observations to eBird: http://ebird.org/content/ebird/ --
