The HTML table I developed to access monthly, seasonal and complete checklists from eBird.org is still maintained on a regular basis.
The reason I developed this table is to make it easier to access checklists for whatever timeframe needed. Pulling a complete checklist for certain locations can be a lot of work when done manually. For example, Central Park has a total of 26 hot spots which would need to be selected to get a complete picture of submissions from the database. Montauk currently has 28 hot spots. On the table click the number for each of the months or seasons to pull the current list from eBird.org. For the overall number click on the label "Total: #" for each location. I've added a "feature" recently. I've color coded 3 months for each of the locations: - Green represents the month with the highest number of species - Goldenrod (yellow or tan) is for the next highest month - Silver (gray) is for the month with the lowest total http://novahunter.blogspot.com/2010/11/ebirdorg-nyc-area-abundance-charts.html The patterns are interesting and are not so obvious without the colors: NEW YORK STATE [452 spp.] NYC AREA (8 Counties) [429 spp.] NEW YORK CITY [380 spp.] * QUEENS CO.
