Finaly got power back on to post this report. Yesterday i was able to get to the shoreham sod fields around 11 30.Immediatly i spotted a large group of birds hunkered down in a flooded section of the field.Holding the window scope still in the open field was tough but in the next 15 minutes or so with the help of a call to S.M. i was able to identify up to 5 bridled and 5 sooty terns.Numerous other terns and dozens of shorebirds were winging all over the place unfortunatly i wasn't able to identify but by there size and bill color were possible caspiens.Later my wife, Bob May and Joel Hormon returned and were able to still see 3bridled and 3 sootys before a perigrine scattered the birds. The terns never returned. This morning only the usual suspects plus 5 tvs drying there wings on the ground and a red fox that ran across the sod fields.....Dan Heglund Rocky point --
