Central Park (and in some nearby sites), Manhattan, N.Y. City
Sunday 18 April 2010 - Some migration on, a NW wind or not.

Variety today in Manhattan, with the warbler tally going to at least 8 species, and yes both Waterthrush species simultaneously - Northern and Louisiana, as well as first Black-throated Greens, Northern Parula, and more of others including Pine, Palm, Myrtle, Black-and- white ... I would guess even a couple of others were out there. There were at least a couple of Indigo Buntings & as many as a dozen Gray Catbirds that came in. Sparrow tribes are coming in as well, with more of the species of recent weeks, such as: E. Towhee, Field, Chipping, Swamp, Savannah, White-throated, & still some Slate-colored Juncos moving and there were many other birds.

All in all, a better showing than weather alone may've suggested.
Nice! I'll look forward to scores of sightings in soon-to-be reports.

Manhattan
