Sorry for the lack of location. I thought my info automatically appeared.
It was seen on the Putnam/Dutchess border in the town of Patterson.
 Another interesting occurance today. Lat year at about this time we had a 
Broad-Winged Hawk appear on an almost daily basis. In the Spring it was joined 
by another and they nested in the trees in back of the kitchen. I never saw any 
young and they disappeared in Aug. As I was out checking the feeder a hawk flew 
thru the trees. Pretty sure it was a broad-winged but I was looking into the 
sun so couldnt tell for sure.
