Hi Tristram, There is no standard nor guidance, as a DFAS carries no guarantee of distance or optical loss. (Nor should it, otherwise I'd have some people asking me to break the laws of physics to get their 20 km over 2dBm loss.) LI was required as per the original TICA 2004 - long predating CFH

Hey, I've heard stories of Citylink having issues on wholesale'd Chorus DFAS circuits in the past where the splitter / LI / monitor circuit was bodged and caused too much attenuation resulting link problems... Though I haven't ever experienced any issues on my Auckland DFAS circuits. Would be in
