Crude oil may trade in the $80-95 a barrel range for most of the year and investment money will come back to commodities. G. Chandrashekhar On the Malaysian Derivatives Exchange (BMD), crude palm oil will trade between 2600 and 2,800 Malaysian ringgit (MYR) a tonne during March-July 2010, and will trade in a higher range of 2800-3200 MYR a tonne in the second half of the year, according to Mr Dorab Mistry, London-based Director of Godrej International Ltd. Giving his price forecast at the annual Palm and Lauric Oils Conference here on Tuesday, Mr Mistry justified his prognosis for the short-term till July on the basis that palm market has comfortable cushion of stocks for the next few months and this will be helped further by large soyabean supplies coming out of South America. Production shortfalls In the second half of the year (post-July), the expert expected tightness in the market with major origins Malaysia and Indonesia facing the threat of production shortfalls, the dollar to weaken and South American soya crop flow to peak. This would propel palm higher, Mr Mistry said. --- In obrolan-bandar@ yahoogroups. com, dario kurniawan <darioamran1976@ ...> wrote: > > harga bisa naik dong ?? > Â > DarioAmran > > > > > ____________ _________ _________ __ > Dari: eddytj <eddyt...@.. .> > Kepada: obrolan-bandar@ yahoogroups. com > Terkirim: Jum, 19 Maret, 2010 14:27:45 > Judul: [ob] cpo - malaysia > > Â > Malaysia palm oil output may drop 2-3pc > Published: 2010/03/19 > Palm oil production in Malaysia, the world's second-largest producer, may > decline between 2 and 3 per cent this year because of the El Nino phenomenon > cuts output even as acreage increases, an industry group said. > > "National production can be affected by El Nino but there are other factors > that could offset the drop, like larger areas coming into maturity," said > Boon Weng Siew, president of the Malaysian Estate Owners Association, which > represents small and medium-sized plantations.
