I agree with you Trev. It's hardly a seedy, "pap sak" outlet. As it is,
one can go to the CBD on a Sunday where there are outlets open until 5pm.

I agree at the moment the only people profiting from some of the new
regulations are the unlicensed shebeens.

If you are a Christian, surely that is every day of the week and not only
on a Sunday? (IF) only one superior being exists, then what?: Muslims
on a Friday, Jews on a Saturday and Christians on a Sunday.
Wake up people.! EVERY day should be kindness to all.

To not support this application would be like supporting the old apartheid
laws which forbad fishing from the banks of the Orange River on a Sunday if
you were in the Free State, yet you could cross the river into the Cape and
fish freely from there on a Sunday. Talk about an archaic non sequit
100% for this.
As a non-religious person, I find it offensive to be denied services due to
restrictions based on Christian principles. I respect that Christians or
traditional minded folks amongst us may be against the idea, but they could
just simply avoid the store on Sundays if they so wish.
