Jusat to let you know that my mother was nearly mugged by 4 young black males yesterday walking up Strubens Rd ( corner of Forfar) on her way to Molenvliet Rd (opposite Swimming pool). They worked in two grps with two. Two stadn t tht corner of Molevliet and Strubens ( bowling green), the otehr two walk down Strubens towards Obs. As she walked past them, they looked around. She felt uneasy ( having been mugged before in Obs area) and turned into Forfar, hoping to ring someone's door bell. They stopped, one tying shoelaces. She approached a man watering his garden-and he noticed they had followed her into Forfar, but turned and moved away when seeing the man. She talked to him for 5 minutes and assumed they had gone. Luckily this kind neighbour accompanied her on her way, because as they turned the corner, the other two was wating for her. They ran off to the taxi rank area when seeing the man with her.
My mother was very shocked at the brazen way they almost " hunted" her. I called the police with a description and they said they would send a van to patrol the area. I am hoping we can step up the VSchola patrol for this Strubens rd. area.
