Since Octave is GPL v3 now, I don't see any reason not to use that
license. It's also what's recommended on the Octave-Forge website.

thanks for pointing this out. Actually, I was not aware that I used at
some ancient times the LGPL. Its fine with me changing the license to
"GPL v2 or later".
Nowawdays, I'm using "GPL v3 or later". Is there any specific reason not
