Thanks for your answer! The problem is that I supposedly have both of these old compilers, but I still see these differences, so I'm not sure if this is a difference in the compiler (where I really don't know what that should be), or I grabbed the wrong repository (but -sustaining/illumos-gate/) f

Outch ! What a hell of differences ! Only the cc command itself is the same as yours. So this means that the old SolarisExpress Developer Edition CD does not contain the correct 12.0 compiler (which I patched up to the required version) as it claims, but some pre- or beta-release. Thanks a lot f
