Why is it all that rare to want an optional extension to a class? I use
this quite commonly in security systems. Some 'roles' are also 'users'.
Those roles which are users have a password and varous personal details
associated with them; roles that are not users (the majority) do not have

My environment is Oracle 9i, Torque 3.1, Linux/Solaris
I have parent and child tables. I perform the following tests:

result OK
test 2
delete parent
fails with integrity check - as expected

delete child
