I have read some postings about OJB's datasource handling and I'm
confused now.
It's said, that you have to
a.) put username/password both in the datasource.xml and
repository_database.xml or
b.) let username/password blank and give it to the broker (with pbkey)
at runtime.
why is that?

I just try to move all my ojb stuff from my former ojb.sar directory to
my application.ear file.
The deployment actually works, but the jndi lookup (to the broker) fails.
I do not longer want to change conf/jboss-service.xml, I want all that
stuff inside my ear.

i took the repository templates from the binary distribution.
i added my jdbd connection to repository_database.xml and put a jdc
alias in there.
of course, i use my old repository_user.xml.
i use pb and connect to database like this:
