Can you open other CHM documents correctly?
Do you press anything while the opening is in progress? (menus, Ctrl+Q, etc..)

Theorically it forgets nothing:
- you switch to fullscreen mode - toolbars and menu bar are hidden
- you then quit the application - the window state is saved automatically (by

I cannot reproduce the problem, either closing a side panel by clicking on its
icon, or closing the whole side panel altogether via the settings menu.

I just moved plugins for Mobipocket format support to kdereview/mobipocket.
Mobipocket is e-book format quite widely used by online bookstores and
supported by many hardware ebook readers. Similar formats are epub and fb2,
already supported by Okular.
