On my second system I am able to open the file with Okular version 0.23.1 on

The log you mention is impossible to happen when you print a pdf file.
Or you mean print preview?

I don't see anything interesting in that backtrace.
Can you run the program with valgrind and attach the valgrind log?
Also please go and tell the Kaos people they are shipping the wrong okular.
