This is with Mate 1.26.0.
It is pretty weird... I'm a long time okular user, and I have not seen this
before.
It is not a deal breaker; just a minor annoyance.

THe menu gives the correct size.
So to be clear:
I select an area of, say, 200x200 pixels (checked with kruler), but the menu
shows 100x100 pixels.
And when I paste in an external program, it is indeed only
