I am not sure what the action "Open Recent" is supposed to do. Since it
carries the same name as a submenu of the "File" menu, I would think that it
should do more or less "the same thing".

Of course it is not a problem; it as merely a small bug.
The gray background is not what annoys me, but the fact, that the navigation
panel pops up, even though it should remain hidden
