Summary: merge presentation and full screen mode Product: okular Version: unspecified Platform: unspecified OS/Version: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: wishlist Priority: NOR Component: general AssignedTo: okular-devel@kde.org ReportedBy: mpar...@gmx.net Version: 0.8.80 (using 4.2.62 (KDE 4.2.62 (KDE 4.3 >= 20090204)), Gentoo) Compiler: x86_64-pc-linux-gnu-gcc OS: Linux (x86_64) release 2.6.29-rc3 Imho the current implementation to have seperate presentation and fullscreen mode is not a good solution: often you need functionality from the other mode and have to switch and fiddle right there in the middle of your presentation. Example: presentation mode GUI is perfectly unobtrusive for presentations but you can't zoom in to highlight a specific detail, nor search or generally navigate easily for that matter. In full screen mode you can search and zoom just fine, and when turning of continuous mode you can flip through the slides as in presentation mode - but you can't get rid of those distracting grey bars at the side. So in my opinion, the user interface should be overhauled to better adapt to the needs of real life professional usage - it's usable already but it can be better. A nice auto-hidable sidebar and putting a presentation/fullscreen mode icon into the toolbar would be a nice start! -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.kde.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are the assignee for the bug. _______________________________________________ Okular-devel mailing list Okular-devel@kde.org https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/okular-devel
