I have not found a seller of complete hinges. To remove mine, I drilled out the
center, tapped in a bolt and drove out the pin by hitting the bolt, not the
hinge pin. You may have to drill out the pin completely now. It is easy to
crack the casting around the pin and the replacement pins are sli

I pulled mine last weekend with a gear puller. It came off as one piece.
Pentrating oil sprayed a couple of times, light taps with hammer after pressure
applied. It was slow to move. Try heating the balancer to loosen rust. Now
removing the crank gear and cam gear is another story.

Anyone know where I can buy door hinges for my 1954 3100? I have looked at
several vendors on line and no one seems to carry first series hinges. I would
be interested in uses as well. Anyone have a source or extras in trhe garage? I
need lower driver's side for sure.

Be Cool radiators in Michigan can either recore an old
radiator or make same size all alum., double core
radiators to fit in stock position when upgrading to a
small block and run cooler. Check them out first.

I am missing completely the brake assemble for my 54
3100. I have the bracket at the firewall, cables to
the cable bar at the rear of the cab underneath, but
no peddle. What does it look like? What years are the
same. Can I use something similar from a newer truck? Ideas?

I have become a much better welder only by practice. I
am using a 110 HTP welder. It was cheaper than
Lincoln, but much better quality, even better price
than other bargin welders I looked at before buying
this unit. They also make 220 welders, plasma cutters,
tig welders and lots of welding access
I am doing a 4 barrel because it is easier to tune one
carb than 4. I was only going to increase the fuel
line from the stock fuel pump. Any ideas on whether I
need to go with a new, electric fuel pump?

You can buy single leaf springs, about $450 a pair or
unband the stock springs and remove some of the leafs.
This will ride more like a car and lower it at the
same time.

I am hot rodding my otherwise stock 1954 with a
Clifford 4 barrel intake manifold that has a hot water
system that attaches to the radiator somehow. I bought
this on ebay and there are no instructions. I assume
it is similar to the other multiple intakes that
feature single barrel carbs. Anyone ha
I am trying to refit my 1954 back together from a
complete body repair and I have this gap above the
running boards and below the cab. I know there is a
rubber windlace that screws under the cab to weather
proof this area. My question is this gap necessary,
stock or am I needing to lower the cab t
