No idea why that center bolt hole is there, but a regular bumper bolt fills it
up. And just a note on the bumper bolts. I got all my bumper bolts at
Tractor Supply for just a little over a dollar (for all of them). The bolts
are galvanized, and when you polish them, they actually look like
I don't know about all Ace stores but mine will make you one to size. You must
have the old one for them to measure. I have use them several times and they
work great.

Nate, I grew up on a farm in Alabama, and all my dad would buy is Chevy trucks.
So we always had old Chevy trucks around the farm, and they were all
workhorses. Trannies were always so loose and worn that you could shift all
the gears without the clutch. But the ol' trucks would just keep run
als curve and if the cab shifted back (or forward ) some,
it may clear the hole.
It may not take much movement and you should have some movement even
with the support bolts in but loose.

Mark, not sure if you want to go this route or not, but you can take a Dremel
tool with the small cut-off wheel and cut a small slot in the clutch head
screws. That allows you to use a standard screw driver to remove them. Many
times, the old clutch head screws are rusted in and just won't com
