What Nate said. I wouldn't want hydraulic lifters. Mechanicals don't collapse
and make noise at upper level RPM when the engine gets warmed up and the oil
breaks down in viscosity.

I got the Chevy Duty model. It worked for about four years. This last snow
storm it blew a fuse and is now locked up. I fortunately have a rebuilt vacuum
motor to put in. That's it with me and elecric. The vacuum lasts longer, is
US made, won't blow fuses, and works just fine.

The easist way out would be to use the short shaft motor for a jeep. The best
way would be to send your vacuum motor to Ficken Wiper Service and let them
rebuild it for you. Is your life worth an outrageous sum of money? To you?

My dad put a 283 in a '50 1 ton. Said he'd never do it again. You have to use

No, and you wouldn't want mine anyway. Exhaust manifold has no heat riser.
But you know what you're looking for, anyway. Manifold off a babbit 235.
